Stree 2 - Sarkate ka Atank

After the events of Stree, the town of Chanderi is seemingly at peace. Stree, the vengeful spirit, has left after the townspeople built a statue in her honor. However, a new menace emerges—Sarkata, a headless ghost, begins abducting women. Sarkata is revealed to be the spirit of Chandrabhan, a cruel patriarch who once murdered Stree and her husband. He now targets independent women, pulling them into an alternate dimension. Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his friends—Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi), Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana), and Jana (Abhishek Banerjee)—uncover clues about Sarkata's past. They find pages from the Chanderi Puran that detail how Stree once killed Chandrabhan in revenge. The group realizes they need Stree's help to defeat this new entity. However, finding and convincing Stree to assist them proves challenging. Sarkata’s attacks intensify, and his powers grow. He begins to possess men in the town, who then control the women, creating chaos. During a confrontation at the haunted house where Stree once lived, Sarkata nearly overpowers Vicky and his friends. Stree appears just in time, using her powers to protect them and explaining the need to work together to defeat Sarkata. The group devises a plan to lure Sarkata with a dance performance by Shama (Tamannaah Bhatia), which successfully draws him out. However, Sarkata's strength overwhelms their efforts. Vicky is given a magical dagger by Stree, meant to decapitate Sarkata, but the spirit’s regenerative abilities multiply his heads upon being attacked. In a desperate move, Stree merges her essence with Vicky, creating a unique being capable of entering Sarkata’s lair. Together, they confront him in a climactic battle. Despite their combined strength, Sarkata proves formidable until Stree's mother (the original Stree) appears. She joins the fight, sacrificing herself to drag Sarkata into molten lava, destroying him for good. The abducted women are freed, and the men possessed by Sarkata return to normal. Chanderi celebrates Vicky and his friends as heroes. Stree's daughter hints at a future connection with Vicky, suggesting his role in maintaining balance between the living and the supernatural.
